The Fourth Evaluation of Global Climate Change Starts in China

On 12th, August, Prof Qin Dahe, head of National Climate Committee and director of  State Meteorological Administration announces that 28 Chinese authorative specialists are selected as IPCC members and members in editing group of special reports to embark on a four-year evaluation of global climate change. The evaluation, which is to be concluded in the end of 2007, will serve as an important reference for negotiating a new package of duties to confine the use of greenhouse gases within UN’s framed treaty on global climate change.
