On the occasion of the CilC conference that was held in Beijing recently, Prof. Shi Yafeng, Chinese academician and the initiator of modern glaciology in China visted ITP on Sunday. Prof. Yao Tandong and some other professors of ITP accompanied him during his visit and reported to him on the achievement ITP has made in the past year.

He was glad to see the progress achieved so far in ITP's construction, promising that he would visit ITP the next year during the Chinese Academician Conference.
