ITP’s Qomolangma station guided for more comprehensive development

‘To become a unique and important station in recovering alpine environment, more should be added to regular monitoring of ecology, hydrology and atmospheric environment,’ During the visit to the ITP’s Qomolangma Comprehensive Station of Atmosphere and Environmental Monitoring, Chinese Academician Prof Sun Honglie pointed out the above direction of effort. He also urged the scientific staff to combine their research with local economic development to better serve regional development.

The academician visit to the ITP’s field monitoring stations in Tibet is done annually to guide the healthy growth of field monitoring. Among the group members to Tibet this year were professors Sun Honglie, Zhengdu, Yuan Daoxian and other scientific experts from relevant research fields.
