CAS Laboratory of Alpine-Cold Ecology and Biodiversity was recently established in ITP. Its advisory board convened at Beijing on April 9, 2012, for the first academic committee. Profs. FU Bojie and SONG Changqing, head and deputy-head of the advisory board attended the meeting, together with other members of the committee including: CAS Academicians Profs. ZHENG Du and YAO Tandong, and Profs. MA Keping, YU Guirui, SUN Hang, HE Jizheng, and PENG Changhui.

Prof. YANG Yongping, standing vice-director of the lab, presided over the committee. The committee witnessed work reports, respectively, by Profs. PIAO Shilong and YANG Yongping on operations and running plans of the lab. 

Participants of the committee finally agreed to engage current efforts into capacity building and management regulation of the lab to achieve a benign development.
