A group of delegates from the meteorological bureaus was invited by ITP Prof MA Yaoming to SETORS in mid-May, 2012, for a visit. The delegates included Prof. YU Rucong, Deputy Administrator of China Meteorological Administration, and heads and/or people in charge of scientific aspect in the meteorological bureaus, as well as leaders from universities in southwest China.

The delegates approved the rapid development of the SETORS in meteorological observation and monitoring. Prof YU of CMA also hoped that those meteorological bureaus would collaborate with ITP after the deepened mutual understanding, to jointly contribute to scientific research of the Tibetan Plateau.
