Given the active role the ITPCAS plays in international cooperation engaged in the Tibetan Plateau study, the institute enjoyed quite fame among students, esp. undergraduates, in the foreign collaborating research units. Attracted by the beautiful, yet mysterious Tibetan Plateau, as well as some respected Chinese researchers unraveling the mystery of the region, more and more foreign students choose the institute as an ideal place to enrich their knowledge in geosciences. The institute welcomes these interns by offering them living stipend according to their educational levels, hoping their involvement in the research team will inject more vigour and boost more enthusiasm among Chinese young scientific staff in carrying out the internationally challenged subject as the Tibetan Plateau research.
