Invited by ITP Profs FANG Xiaomin and YAN Maodu, Prof. Rob Van der Voo of University of Michigan will conduct an academic visit to the ITP during May 19-June 4, 2012.

Prof. Voo is very well known in geological sciences, and is particularly interested in geophysics, tectonics, and paleomagnetism and its application to mountain-building processes and pre-Mesozoic plate tectonics. He will give a series of lectures in the study of tectonics worldwide. The lectures are planned in Room 915 at the ITP new building.
